Overview

A dense covering of vivid, violet-blue flowers smothering neat, dark bronze-green foliage. This compact, half-hardy annual is perfect for rockeries, baskets and patio pots or for mixing with other lobelias to drift at the front of a sunny border. One of the darkest leaved and flowering blues, 'Crystal Palace' is certain to make a 'Great Exhibition' over the summer months. Please note that the pot in the photograph is not supplied with the plant (which is sent out in a simple nursery alternative), but we have a wide and wonderful range on our website to choose from. Grown in individual plug cells, each plant measures about 4 - 6cm tall (from the base of the root to the top of the plant). They are ideal for keen gardeners who have a greenhouse where the plants can be grown on until they are ready for planting out in the garden once all chance of frost has passed. Please note: We grow these especially for you, so we do request that full payment is made when you place your order. See above for despatch dates. To ensure that your plants arrive in the best possible condition each pack will be despatched individually. Please also be aware that the pot in the photograph is not included.

Pot up and grow on under glass until all risk of frost has passed and they can be planted outside in a well-prepared bed. Pinching out the growing tips will encourage them to become bushier, and feed with a high-potash fertiliser at regular intervals throughout the summer.
