Solanum tuberosum "Maris Peer" potatoes are a firm favourite of gardeners and chefs alike. The small tubers have a smooth skin and creamy yellow flesh that retains its colour and superb flavour, and doesn't disintegrate when cooking. A great all-round potato in the kitchen, it can be boiled, roasted, mashed, or fried, and is ideal for potato salads. The plants produce beautiful scented purple flowers, show good disease resistance, and are great for growing in containers.
