The solanum tuberosum "Setanta" potato originated from Ireland, and is recognisable from its red skin. Bred from the famous "Rooster" potato, the Setanta has a similar dry fluffy texture that makes delicious mash, roasties, and chips. The Setanta potato is renowned for its excellent resistance to blight, and also has good resistance to common scab, drought, and slug damage.
