Heavenly Bamboo Nandina 'Fire Power'- 10L Pot

Nandina 'Fire Power' is a compact, rounded, evergreen shrub with colourful, bamboo-like leaves. In the summer it produces small, white, star-shaped flowers that are followed by shiny red berries. However, it is the brightly coloured foliage that makes this shrub so special. Its compound leaves are a pretty yellow-green in the summer before becoming a vision of fiery orange and red in the autumn.

With its compact habit this hardy shrub is excellent for growing in containers or planted as part of a border. It is happiest when placed in a sheltered but sunny position in moist, well-drained soil. With such a long season of interest 'Fire Power' would make a fantastic addition to any garden.

Planting and Care

Place in either a sunny or shaded area in a sheltered spot away from cold, drying winds. This shrub will thrive in any soil as long as it is moist but has good drainage. Water young plants regularly until established. Remove weak, dead, damaged or spindly stems in spring. Cut out any flowering shoots promptly to discourage more from forming.
