Rated as one of the best tasting potato varieties, the solanum tuberosum Kestrel potato are easily recognised by the distinctive purple eyes on their yellowish skins. A good all-rounder in the kitchen, the Kestrel can be used in a variety of potato dishes, and is particularly good for roasting and making chips as their flesh does not absorb a lot of fat.
