Best Start for Plants
If the area around the bed has a weed membrane laid down with bark or gravel on top, it will form a barrier to stop slugs and snails from getting into the bed, and since the soil will have no eggs in it, you will be starting a strong pest controlled environment straight away. Any slug pellets needed can be spread around the outside of the bed, and kept away from any growing plants.

Grow beds are ideal for new plant life thanks to their faster warming soil and box design, perfect for nets and other aids.

Fuss Free Gardening
Use this fantastic bed to create a disease and weed free growing area filled with the perfect levels of compost and fertilizer. Now you can start your growth in the best possible medium and grow your vegetation closer together. The raised structure of the bed will save far reaching and long bouts of digging, giving you a clever garden solution.

"There were no instructions - it was essentially quite easy to work out but meant a bit of adjustment.
Wood was of variable quality - all OK but not all to the same standard

"Bad quality wood, had to sand it down for ages to be able to use it without getting splinters in my fingers. Won't buy again."

"It was a cheap product so my expectations were not high but even so I was disappointed with the quality of the wood which was warped and split easily when being assembled."

Reviewed Saturday, 26 September 2015

Primrose says: "Thank you for your feedback. Often these raised beds arrive damp from the wood treatment we use, and can increase the likelihood of the wood splitting during construction. We recommend ensuring the wood is dry before an attempt to assemble is made."

"Not good quality, many pieces of wood broke off. Wood also felt very damp and sticky. I would have expected better."

Reviewed Sunday, 12 July 2015

Primrose says: "Thank you for your review. The wood will feel damp and potentially sticky from the wood preservative. This can also make the wood seem green. Your comments have been passed on."

"I have put poor because although the liners themselves were fine, if Primrose sell raised beds that are 35 cms high they should also sell similar sized liners. The liners were 25 cms which means I had to fiddle about extended their height with polythene. Not ideal at all."

Rating: 2/5

"Compared with the same item purchased two years ago, this one is poor quality being 1cm less thick wood and much less sturdy..In fact I had to purchase a seed bed liner to hold the soil inside,as Primrose did not have the liners in stock at the time."

Reviewed Sunday, 3 May 2015

Primrose says: "Thank you for your review. We're sorry to hear you are not as happy with these beds as the one you bought previously, PP0543. These are a slightly different design, being taller and made of thinner wood. We're also sorry to hear you had to buy a liner separately to the raised grow bed."
