40-60cm Eternal Flame Plant | Calathea Crocata 'Candela' | 14cm Pot
Eternal Flame Plant | Calathea Crocata 'Candela' | 14cm Pot | By Plant Theory
Calatheas are among the most beautiful tropical plants you can add to an indoor collection with a wide variety of colours and patterns available. As tropical plants, they can be a little fussy over their care but getting a few things right from the start will set you up for success. Native to Brasil, this Calathea has the common name of 'Eternal Flame' due to its stunning bright orange flowers. This is contrasted nicely by the dark green leaves with an underside of deep red. The plant will grow best in warm, humid and well-lit conditions with the temperature being a key element. Position your Calathea in a room with lots of bright but indirect light that won't experience too many extreme temperature changes.
A grouping of potted Calatheas can look stunning with their mix of colours and patterns
