A gabion is a large mesh cage which one fills with stones, pebbles or other interesting fillers to add a structure to your garden. Typically used in large-scale construction projects, gabions are now becoming an increasingly popular addition to gardens across the UK due to their multitude of uses. Simply unfold your gabion and fill it with stones or other heavy materials to create a long lasting, practical feature.
Collections of gabions can be used for almost anything, including creating walls, benches, garden decoration, planters and water features. They can be easily fitted with lights to make them a centrepiece for evening entertainment or filled with shrubs to create an unusual and unique display.
With fantastic discounts for multiples, you can create a magnificent effect even with a lower budget
To make your gabion cost efficient, it is recommended that a core of cheap, heavy stone (such as house bricks or concrete) is inserted before lining the visible sides of the gabion with your choice of a decorative outer layer. While traditional gabions use ornamental stone it is possible to use almost anything to fill them, letting them bring a touch of personality to your garden.
Please note: This is a single gabion which is supplied as a flat-packed, empty mesh cage which must be unfolded. Decorative stone and bench top sold separately. To see our range of decorative stone and pebbles, please see the link below. One 850kg bag will fill approximately eight 40cm gabions.
As the stones are a natural product there will be variation in size. This means that some may be small enough to fall through the sides of the gabion. Stones that are too small can either be used in the centre of the gabion, or can be used to great effect elsewhere in your garden.
Please Note: Delivery is by an 18 tonne lorry and the road must be of a standard width for the lorry to access and drop off.

"Good thing - you provide spare 'hinges' in case one gets damaged/lost. Less good thing - hinges are not the easiest things to fix to the gabions."
