Despite its name, 'Golden King' is in fact a female holly that makes a compact, conical, evergreen shrub, and bears broad, ovate, slightly spiny leaves that are dark green and margined yellow. Produces small white flowers followed by pretty red berries in the autumn/winter, although the crop will be more abundant with a male nearby.
