4-5ft 'Lacrima' Weeping Patio Peach Tree| SJA Semi Vigorous Rootstock | Bare Root
Patio Peach Tree Lacrima Bare Root
Ideal for a small garden, ‘Lacrima’ is arguably the most decorative peach, with a weeping habit. The fruit hangs down from the branches, gaining maximum sunshine to ripen well.
Pink blossom in spring is followed by yellow-fleshed fruits ready to harvest in August, which are large, sweet and juicy.
You will also have autumn colour at leaf drop, and the weeping branches make a statement in winter, so ‘Lacrima’ is a tree for all seasons.

Your plant’s soil and planting location will also affect its resulting size. Most need a good amount of sunshine to grow well (and also for their fruit to ripen with a high sugar content). Trees growing in cold, open spots will grow slower than those that are protected and warm. The same is true for soil, with those growing in light sandy soils often growing more slowly, while those planted in rich, fertile soils being more vigorous.
We have developed an eco friendly polypot that is currently in use across our 9 litre range. This polypot has less than 20% of the plastic used by a regular pot, and is importantly recyclable. Polypots also prevent root spiraling, encouraging a healthier root system.
All trees arrive in an extra thick cardboard box with a clamp to hold their pot in place. This prevents them from moving around on their journey.
Nursery staff will wrap the roots of our bare root trees and use compost to keep them moist during transportation. This extra protection prevents them from drying out, allowing for a flying start. We also use the same specialised box that our potted trees have to keep them nice and secure as they make their way to your home.

Grafted onto the Mont Clare dwarfing rootstock, ‘Lacrima’ should reach 2.5m-3m with a similar canopy spread when mature in open ground. It can also be grown in a large container, which will limit its size.
Expect ‘Lacrima’ to fruit in its second year - it needs spend its first year in your garden establishing a good root system.'Lacrima' is self-fertile and does not require a pollination companion.
Advice on hot and droopy plants
If your plants are looking a little wilted right now, don’t worry! Plants like to be filled with water to keep their structure, and when it’s hot that water evaporates.
Just give them an off-schedule watering and they’ll be right as rain in no time! Be careful not to flood them - plants don’t like extremes.
