50cm Dwarf Banana Plant | Musa Dwarf Cavendish | 17cm Pot | By Plant Theory

Banana plants add an instant touch of the tropical to your home. Made popular by their large paddle-shaped leaves, these plants are a great houseplant for beginners and are easy to grow if a few conditions are got right from the start. This Musa Dwarf Cavendish may sound a little fancy; its name comes from the 6th Duke of Devonshire, William Cavendish, so it is a bit posh - they are actually one of the oldest cultivated crops we have. This particular variety is central to our production of bananas worldwide! Potted up in your home this plant will sit happily in a bright sun-filled spot. When new growth appears leaves will emerge from the centre and slowly unfurl with great effect. This plant is also great for cleaning the air in your home.

Show off your plant in style

Please note, all of our house plants arrive in a nursery pot as standard. You can find a more permanent home for your plant in our wide range of indoor plant pots.

How your order will arrive
Your plant will be happy in a well-lit location. With most houseplants, it is best to avoid direct sunlight, as it can scorch their leaves. We believe that a little way back from a window in a bright room is optimum.

The foliage of your plant may become a little dusty, so just wipe them down with a damp cloth occasionally (try not to come into direct contact with the plant).
