Amazing design only have a small garden fooled friends already.
Add a little touch of mystery to your garden with this gorgeous illusion gate mirror. With a sturdy wooden fame and real glass for a clear, crisp reflection this mirror appears to open a gateway into a secret garden just beyond the borders of your own. This versatile mirror looks mysterious and secretive when nestled behind a flowerbed, or you can enhance the illusion with a paved or gravel path leading into the “garden” within it.
This mirror uses the technique Trompe-l'œil (French for “deceive the eye”) to create the optical Illusion of 3D space. The door of this gateway has been angled to create a sense of perspective, making it appear that the door is opening away from you, welcoming you into the garden beyond. For that final touch of realism, the gate is finished with hinge and catch details.
Thanks to Mrs T for this photo of the mirror in her garden. She has painted the wood green to make it blend in with her fence and plants
Thanks to Mrs A for this photo of the mirror in her garden. We love how the reflection turns the decorative paving into a winding path!
