A stunning typical eucalyptus, this tree is tall and slender, with almost blue young foliage, turning to grey-green in adulthood. Commonly known as the Tasmanian Cider Tree, this gum is evergreen, and will reach almost a 12m height, in a conical shape
Whilst this tree may look slender and vulnerable, it is a very hardy plant, and will easily survive most winters. This gorgeous tree is best planted either as a specimen tree or a garden shrub border.
This is a recent addition to our mature ornamental tree range. This is perfect if you are after a substantial centrepiece tree for your garden, but don't want to have to wait too long for it to grow. This tree is already 2 meters in height and has a crown of multiple, good sized branches already developed. Pictured in early spring, you can see the fantastic evergreen display that will brighten up your garden all year long.
As a 5 year old tree, this eucalyptus already has a good root base established. However, the tree will require some attention for the first year as it recovers from the transplant shock, so regular watering is advised. Strong growth will resume after this period, and you should see your tree edging towards an impressive stature over the next 3-5 years.
Please note, this tree is trained to half standard meaning that bushy growth from lower down the stem has been removed and a strong crown has been rounded to create an ornamental shape. This can be left to grow out into a more bushy tree or mantained with clipping 3/4 times a year.
