The Zamioculcas is unique in its appearance and indestructible in its nature, which makes it a great houseplant for beginners. Though the debate is ongoing on whether this plant is a fern, a succulent, or something else entirely, you can be certain that with this plant you'll be adding one of the oldest varieties of house plant to your collection! This long history means great survival skills, and as such, these plants are able to withstand a little neglect. They only require watering once a fortnight and are perfectly happy in light shade, meaning they can be situated anywhere in the home. The feathered-looking foliage additionally makes them a stylish addition to home interiors, where this variety comes in a dark shade of almost black.

Your plant will be happy in bright light that is preferably indirect, otherwise the leaves could be scorched. A little way back from a window in a bright room is optimum. The foliage of your plant may become a little dusty, so just wipe them down with a damp cloth occasionally, but try not to come into direct contact with the plant.
