This elegant cast stone bust is of Byron whom was famously described as being "mad bad and dangerous to know" by Lady Caroline Lamb. This bust of Byron is taken from a fine marble original carved by Edward Hodges Baily RA in c1826. These statues are made using cast limestone with a surface texture similar to that of portland stone. In a number of important ways it is markedly superior, one of its greatest advantages being price, which, piece for piece, is normally significantly less than that of quarried stone. As well as for use in gardens, lawn, terraces, courtyards, borders and woodland, this statue can also be used in interior design schemes, in a hall, library, stairway or reception room.
