The classic Japanese acer
First introduced to England in 1820 but grown in Japan for centuries, the Japanese Maple is a small deciduous tree with an upright habit. A symbol of springtime Japan, the tree is best grown in sheltered conditions with some sunlight. The Japanese Maple is ideal as a feature piece for smaller gardens or could be placed in a large container for patios.
