Acer palmatum 'Orange Dream' | Japanese Maple Tree
Acer Palmatum 'Orange Dream' 18l Pot
The ‘Orange Dream’ is an upright, spreading Japanese maple tree that exhibits ever-changing foliage year round. In autumn, a burnt-orange colour encapsulates the foliage before turning a bright green in the summer. In autumn, alluring clusters of thin red flowers beautifully contrast bright green leaves.
This small, bushy deciduous tree is perfect for patio containers or a as a focal point for a smaller garden.
Spring and Autumn are the best seasons for planting trees, as the soil moisture and heat allow easier and faster root establishment and regeneration of damaged root systems. Although Japanese Maple trees do require some sunlight, they are best planted in a sheltered condition to avoid waterlogged soil.
Japanese Maples reach their unique shape when left to grow naturally, so little pruning is required. If you are going to prune your tree, do so in the winter time as sap is produced, which can weaken the tree. Remove any dead branches and keep it well watered.
