This bespoke collection of colourful and diverse flowers have been specially selected by leading UK plant specialist Anglo Aquatic Plants. Six plants are carefully selected based on the time of year they are dispatched, guaranteeing that you receive the best plants to make the greatest impact in your garden. Thick foliage is mixed with long stalks and an array of strong elegant colours. Eye catching strong reds and pale pinks mix with bright yellows and whites against a lush backdrop of green with stalks holding crowns of blue and lilac for a host of colours to brighten up your garden or patio.

Marsh Marigold - Caltha Palustris

Glossy kidney or heart shaped leaves bear beautiful yellow flowers on the Marsh Marigold, a popular plant rich in buds. The spread of this plant can reach 50cm with rich fleshy foliage.

Water forget-me-not - Myosotis Palustris

The Water Forget-me-not is wonderful in offering a strong spread to cover the tops of water to give shelter to pond life. With a growth height of 20-30cm the plant gives glimmers of yellow and blue in its flowers which stand out against the green foliage.

Pickerel Weed - Pontederia Cordata

Tall lilac and dark blue cones sway atop the Pickerel Weed which loves the sun and can reach heights between 1m-1.5cm. Heart shaped leaves spike out of the plant which will give your pond a compelling element.

Water Hawthorn Aponogeton Distachyus

Flat green glossy leaves hold up forked racemes of small, fragrant, white flowers with purple anthers in this exotic plant which will give a beautiful and wildlife friendly surface to your Pond in a Pot. The leaves which can spread up to 1m also serve to reduce algae growth by giving further shade to the water beneath.

Optional Extras for Pond in a Pot Maintenance

Use the Ramshorn Snail to maintain your Pond in a Pot by cleverly eating away the algae from the sides of you planter without affecting or damaging the chosen plant life inside. The snails are also an aesthetic addition to your All Year Colour Pond in a Pot.

Additional recommended plants include the charming Frogbit Hydrocharis morsus-ranae in a specially offered 5 pack. This ideal plant requires no maintenance and will cleverly cover the top of your Pond in a Pots water surface with lovely round leaves and summer blooms.

 

A brilliant choice for extra care for your Pond in a Pot is the addition of Oxygenating plants, which you can add here in a native variation of five bunches. Oxygenating plants photosynthesise underwater with the resulting oxygen dispersing into the water, this encourages bacteria which help to keep the water clear. The selection chosen for you will be based on your pond and availability.
