Swan Mussels are a brilliant way to keep your pond clean, healthy and full of life. These useful mussels will keep your pond clear by eating away at algae on the bottom of your pond.

Please Note: These mussels are suitable for use in medium sized ponds or larger as Swan mussels need oxygenated water & about 1 m² each.

  • Eat excess algae - keep your pond clean and attractive
  • Improve water filtration - the lack of algae will help filters to run efficiently
  • Plant friendly - these mussels will not harm or feast upon your plants

"I think they could have been packed better - when we opened the package the mussels were very dry - We are still unsure if they are alive."

Answer from Primrose: "Thank you for your review. It can be very difficult to tell whether Swan Mussels are alive or not. If the shell is firmly shut, they are still alive. If you are not sure - if the shell is only a little open, you can try closing the shell and then releasing. If it stays open, I'm afraid the mussel has passed on. If it closes slowly and stays shut, it is alive although a little frightened. Your comments have been passed on."
