How do they work?
Moles are more or less blind, but they compensate by being highly sensitive to vibrations in the ground - which might be a predator borrowing down to attack them. The molechasers create a deep, powerful noise (inaudible to humans) that emulates potential predators, causing moles to vacate the area. When the devices are working, you'll hear a bleeping sound every 30 seconds or so - this is not the noise the moles hear, it's so you can be sure the device is working.

What size area do they cover?
The unit is effective up to about 15m (49ft) from the mole repeller, depending on soil type, which is roughly an area of 706.5m² (2318ft²).

Completely safe and no chemicals are involved. Requires 4 D batteries (Not included - optional). One set of batteries should last between 4-6 months.

Important information:
The units should not be inserted into the mole hills or amongst them, otherwise they will be scattered in all directions.Position the devices between the house and the mole hills so that the moles are driven back the way they came.
You may find that in the early stages, molehills appear more frequently and even close to the unit. This indicates that it is beginning to have an effect and the moles are becoming disorientated so don't panic!

N.B. Moles are usually driven away within 2-3 days, but please be aware that the process can in rare occasions take up to 6 weeks so please be patient.

"Decided this year to try repellents rather than traps, so far we have only noticed one mole hill compared to about a dozen before we started using them. I think they really do deter moles, there will always be the odd one that doesn't mind the noise I suppose! The Mole Repeller is simple, well made and in my world, more effective than I was expecting."

You may find in the early stages that molehills will appear more frequently and close to the unit. This indicates that the repellers are beginning to take effect and the moles are becoming disorientated. "Not sure how effective they are but mole activity does seem to have lessened. Not confident re how long batteries will last as noise humans hear is getting quieter. If moles disappear we'll know they're working because we have a terrible problem with moles in our garden."
