Blue Mazus Mazus Reptans - 9cm Pot x 3

Mazus Reptans is a marginal perennial plant which is ideal for carpeting planting shelves and raised baskets. It can be used as a creeping cover around pond margins or to conceal the edges of pond liners. It produces a very low rafting mat of green leaves growing on long stalks, which are covered by masses of petite violet blue flowers with orange and white markings. Mazus Reptans is an evergreen plant, which means that the foliage of the plant persists and remains green throughout the year.

Caring and Maintenance:

This is a very low maintenance plant which requires a well moisturised environment. Propagate by division in early spring. Stems may need trimming in spring to control their growth. Remove faded flowers to control self-seeding, encourage emerging new growths, and maintain the look of the plant during the flowering period.

Plants from the Ornamental collection grow naturally in shallow waters and at the edges of ponds. Low growing rafting types have charming flowers and attractive foliage, whilst tall emergent plants add structure and should be planted at the far side of the pond or water feature. We have a wonderful variety of ornamental marginal plants available, with their flowering times ranging from as early as February through to October.
