The Bogbean is a marginal, aquatic perennial that has spreading rhizomes. It has rounded green leaves and in the summer pink buds open to reveal white, star-shaped flowers. It can be grown in shallow water or in muddy pond margins.

This plant can be grown in either a pond or in moist, fertile soil. Grow in a pond with a depth of up to 15-25cm; this plant is suitable for zones 1, 2 and 3 of a pond. Aquatic and marginal plants should be placed in pond plant baskets filled with aquatic soil (sold separately) and topped with a thin layer of gravel to help prevent the soil from washing away

Caring and Maintenance

This is a very low maintenance, hardy plant. Water adequately during dry and hot periods.
