Braeburn Apple Trees

Originating in New Zealand as an offspring of Lady Hamilton, the Braeburn is among the most important commercial cultivars, accounting for 40% of New Zealand's crop. The tree fruits early in its life and produces heavily, while being easy to grow. Its fruit is notable excellent storage qualities, being able to withstand the demands of the long distance carriage, and are bicoloured and tasty, on par with older classic apple varieties. Highly popular with both growers and retailers, the Braeburn remains the benchmark for which all other apples are measured.
