The Branched Bur Reed is a UK native plant that grows well in pond margins and bog gardens. It grows up to 1m tall with impressive green foliage and unique spherical flowers with white stamens. Add character to bog gardens and pond margins with this hardy plant.

Requirements

Planting

  • Planting Depth: up to 30cm
Plant in bog gardens or in shallow water with a depth of up to 30cm. This plant is suitable for zones 1, 2 & 3 of a pond. Aquatic and marginal plants should be placed in pond plant baskets filled with aquatic soil (sold separately) and topped with a thin layer of gravel to help prevent the soil from washing away.

Caring and Maintenance

This is a very low maintenance plant. Propagate by division.
