Regrettably due to unprecedented demand we have taken the difficult decision to suspend new orders for some products for a short period of time until we have caught up on our existing orders.
CatWatch is approved by The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB). The device was tested by an independent research company, the tests paid for by the RSPB and the RSPB were reimbursed by the manufacturers of Catwatch (who had no influence over the test). The Catwatch device was the only device tested - the RSPB have not done any kind of comparative testing against other cat repellers.
The sensor detects movement up to 12 metres (40ft) away and emits a high pitched sound (silent to humans) in a wide 100 degree arc, which is pitched specifically at a cat's hearing frequency. The ultrasonic is thought to be effective at 18m (60ft). This means that the unit won't be activated until the cat is within 30ft, but once the cat turns and exits, it will still hear the noise up to 60ft away. Of course, as with all methods involving animal behaviour, we can't guarantee effectiveness in every situation, however, our own experience and the feedback we get from customers suggests that this device is effective in almost all situations. If the cats have a habit of feeding and fouling in your garden, it can take 14-28 days to deliver the full deterrent effect. 'Occasional' visitors will usually be stopped within 7 days. If you need more advice on how to get the best out of the product, don't hesitate to give us a call. The Catwatch we sell is the Mark 2 version of the product.
Unit height 14.5cm. Uses one 9 volt battery (optional) or a suitable 9V mains adaptor (available separately). The mains adaptor has 9m of cable, with an additional 10m also available. The cable is thin bell-wire type meaning it can often be plugged indoors and slipped below some doors or windows. Because it's at a low voltage, the cable is fine for outdoors. The mains adaptor is the plug type (like most mobile phone adaptors, the adaptor is the plug), so this may make it impossible to fit into some outdoor sockets. Consider an outdoor electrical box.
Comes with a positioning stake, or can be attached to a nail in a fence.
*Note: read the wording carefully. This device is in fact the only repeller tested by the RSPB. The tests were paid for by Concept Research, the makers of Catwatch. It doesn't imply that the RSPB have done any kind of the comparative testing against any other cat repellers.
THIS PRODUCT USES THE SAME POWER ADAPTOR AS OUR FOXWATCH PRODUCT.

"There where 3 individual cats hanging around my bird feeders so this device seemed the best way to get rid of them. I expected it to take a week or two before the cats got fed up with the ultrasonic deterent but since installing this I have not seen a single cat."

"Seems to be an old product as the RSPB logo on the box has changed. Has been in a week and a cat still uses the garden as a toilet but the box says it may take a while to work. Is supposed to come with a 90 day money back guarantee but have been sent no details of this by Primrose."
