Clematis 'Pink Fantasy' is one of the most popular varieties around. It's popularity is well merited as it is a top performer, boasting one of the most impressive flower counts over what seems like an eternity from mid summer to the brink of autumn.
The flower itself is one of the largest with a delicious dark pink stripe through the middle of each petal creating a dazzling, almost geometric display. The light pink coupled with the delicate feel of the petal exudes elegance and glows against the luscious green foliage.

If planting next to a wall or fence, dig a hole twice as wide as the plant’s pot and half as deep again 2ft away. You can then train the plant to grow up the structure, you can give it a helping hand by adding some wire or tying in a few stems. They perform best when their roots are shade, that can should be considered when positioning the plant and can be achieved by planting around the rootball.
In terms of care, watering is important especially during the summer months. They will need a thorough watering twice weekly during dry spells. Best blooms are encourage by adding a potassium rich fertiliser early in spring.
