Echinacea 'Choco Green' is a great perennial that presents beautiful, pink and green flowers which will be present in your garden from June to September. Complimenting these dual-coloured petals is the large, chocolate-coloured centre, which helps create an eye-catching shape and make an ideal landing spot for bees. Bred from tissue culture, this cultivar benefits from a strong branching habit and is also winter hardy. As such, it is a great plant for a less experienced gardener.

Many of our herbaceous perennials also die back in winter, so will have little growth in spring, but grow quickly once sunlight hours improve.

Watering: During your perennial or alpine's first growing season, you should provide them with frequent waterings. Try to also avoid wetting the foliage to reduce the risk of disease.
Deadheading: To promote a long flowering period, you should deadhead any flowers that appear spent. Simply rescind each flower at their base, taking care to not cut other parts of the plant
Please note: Herbaceous perennials can die back in winter, so don't be alarmed if this happens and instead look forward to spring!
