What do you do when you get water in your water butt?

Water is caught in the water butt through a drainpipe, which flows into the cylinder. You can then store it until you need to use it to water your outdoor turf and plants. This helps reduce water waste and feeds plants water that doesn’t have any impurities that can come from tap water.
How do you keep a water butt from falling over?
Keep your water butt pushed up against a wall so that it won't fall over. If it is empty and you're worried about it toppling over when it becomes heavier, you can add some water to it to weigh it down. Alternatively, you can secure it against a sturdy structure.
How often should you clean your water butt?
Keep your rainwater clean by cleaning your water butt clean. If it is left for prolonged periods of time, algae, bacteria, and fungal plant diseases can harm your plants. It can also become smelly as it is stagnant and catch debris and dead flies.
At least once a year, empty the water butt and scrub it thoroughly with warm soapy water. To avoid the stagnant water becoming smelly and dirty, empty it completely occasionally to make room for freshwater. You should also position it somewhere cool away from direct sunlight so that bacteria isn't encouraged to grow in the warmth
