Green Friday is Primrose's answer to Black Friday. Rather than encouraging excessive driving from shop to shop and buying things we don't need, we'd like to help our community to get back in touch with nature. Let's help the Earth and our UK communities to breathe, and plant loads of trees to do it.
The positivity of plants has been known for centuries, from medicinal benefits through to the pollution absorption and clean air they provide, and the power that being surrounded by trees and plants can have on the mind.
To help us do that, we've also partnered with The Tree Council to plant at least 100 trees this November, and we're hopeful we can plant lots more with your help. Every bare root fruit tree we have in our store is 20% off this Green Friday, and we've got a special something included with a selected number of them.
The Tree Council brings everyone together with a shared mission to care for trees and our planet's future.
For every selected fruit tree purchased during our Green Friday campaign, we'll donate £2.50 towards the planting of trees in local communities across the UK, in partnership with The Tree Council, Registered Charity Number 279000.
With every £15 donated they can plant one tree or one metre of hedgerow, and we've guaranteed them a minimum of £1,500 so they can plant a 100-tree-strong copse or an athletics track's worth of hedgerow for a multitude of hedgehogs, birds and insects to make their homes in.
Every donation supports The Tree Council's 'Branching Out' grants fund, which helps community groups, volunteer Tree Warden Networks and schools across the UK start their own planting projects in their own local communities. Planting takes place between November and March, so if you've got a youth project planned in your own community why not apply now to be part of the planting action?
