H89cm Halton Corten Steel Waterfall Cascade Planter with Lights by Ambienté©

This water feature starts off looking like any other steel feature. However, after just a few days of use it will develop a rust-like surface that also has a protective layer. This layer protects against further corrosion, and it is completely unique, so no two features are the same. Complete with a pump; you will be able to get this feature up and running in no time. It is self contained, so all you need to do is add water. The feature has been finished with an integrated LED light that brings the feature to life at night, beautifully illuminating the sheet of water that pours out from the blade. Finish the look by planting some plants in the upper section.

Tips on Installation and Maintenance

A lot of water features come pre-assembled for the most part, with just a little hose/pump connecting to do before plugging it in to a solar panel or mains socket. Some of our bigger ones require wiring in a plug (which might involve a Part P Certified electrician), but otherwise all instructions will be included.

Corten Steel - Rust Surface with Protective Layer

Corten is a type of steel that naturally weathers and develops a layer of attractive rust with a protective layer. It is really a paradox, as although it is rusted, to a degree, the surface actually has a layer that protects against further corrosion. In other words, the steel is allowed to rust in order to form the protective coating. This protective layer develops due to the elements that are active in the alloys of the steel. It regenerates continuously when subjected to the influence of water and oxygen.

Cascading Blade with White LED Light Strip

A beautiful flat waterfall is created by the flow from the integrated blade. There is also an LED light strip that will create a striking spectacle at night.

Upper Planting Section

A generous upper section allows you to plant flowers or greenery of your choice. This will help integrate the feature into the surroundings of your garden or patio.

Rusting Process

The image on the left illustrates how the planter will arrive. After a few days or so the protective rust surface will have developed naturally. If you wish, you can speed up the process by using a cloth and rubbing the surface with salt and/or vinegar.

Material details

Corten is a type of steel that naturally weathers over time, developing an attractive and protective rust layer. This layer develops due to the elements active in the alloys of the steel which regenerates continuously when subjected to water & oxygen. Although to achieve the finished look the steel has rusted, the surface layer acts as a protective coating and reduces further corrosion. When you receive your corten steel product, it will appear silver - once exposed to the elements for at least 3 days, the rust layer will start to form to give the product it's final rustic look.
