About your plant - Run by family with family values, Allensmore Nuseries have a real passion for plants. Their range and reliability are key to the foundations of the business and our expert nursery has spent decades perfecting the art of watering, feeding, and pruning perennials, and will do so until hours before they are packed.

Packaging- Your perennials will be expertly packaged into a specially designed, extra thick cardboard box, which will hold it securely in place. Your plant will then be delivered via a delicate courier network to prevent any chance of damage in transit.

Hostas are one of the most popular perennial plants for their long lives and how easy they are to grow. plant in shaded moist soil avoiding dry soil as much as you can. water in dry spells, ensuring that soil stays slighlty damp. regular watering will be needed if planting in a container, especially in summer. The only pruning needed is in winter when the foliage begins to die back, cut any foliage that has begun to die back to keep it tidy. The main problems to look out for are vine weevils, and snugs and snails who love hosta plants nearly as much as gardeners do!
