25 Spanish Bluebell bulbs, the perfect successor to Snowdrops or Hyacinths in a woodland garden

Flowering from April to May, this Spanish Bluebell will transform the spring landscape with racemens of pastel blue, bell-shaped blooms. A wonderful naturalising plant, this Bluebell makes a good successor to Snowdrops or Hyacinths, and can be grown in either sun or shade. To help achieve that enchanting naturalising display, throw a handful of these bulbs onto the planting area, and plant wherever they land (making sure that they still satisfy the recommended planting distance and depth).

Growing Advice

It is best to make sure that you plant at the recommended distance and depth. If too deep, the bulb may rot and the shoots emerge late. If too shallow, the bulb may emerge unevenly and have spindly growth.

Once shoots emerge, water thoroughly and regularly to encourage their growth. Fertiliser isn't essential, but it will help blooms to look their best. Simply apply a slow release fertiliser upon planting, or alternatively apply liquid fertiliser once the growing season begins.
