Lacewing Greenhouse details
The 4mm thick polycarbonate panels block out 99.9% of the sun's harmful UV rays, increasing the development of plants. The PC panels are strong, shatterproof and help retain heat longer than glass, which makes them an ideal choice if you have children that are often playing in the area where the greenhouse is situated.
Gutters enable the collection and re-use of rainwater when used conjunction with water butt and rain water pipe (both sold separately).
Galvanised steel base available as an optional extra - provides stability and makes your greenhouse last even longer.

Do I need a base?

In order to get the most out of your greenhouse, it is essential to invest in a firm, level foundation. This will provide extra stability, anchoring your greenhouse to the ground during bad weather. It will also ensure that the frame sits flat and level, allowing all the parts to fit together as they should. Most importantly, it will help your greenhouse to last for years longer by making it more secure and stable. To purchase our high quality galvanised steel base, please tick the box opposite and add it to your basket.

Benefits of a base

  • Provides a ready made, firm foundation for your greenhouse
  • Will ensure your greenhouse frame sits as it should, allowing the panels to fit correctly
  • Will dramatically extend the life of your greenhouse
  • Will act as an anchor for your greenhouse during windy or stormy weather
  • The foundations are as important as the base. Please click here for more info

Do I need a vent arm?

Ventilation and temperature are highly important factors in maintaining the ideal growing environment in your greenhouse. An automated vent arm is highly useful for any greenhouse owner, as it helps to regulate these factors. This vent arm will automatically open the window when the temperature reaches your desired level, and will close again when the temperature drops. It is adjustable, and doesn't require electricity, which means no running costs.

Benefits of a vent arm

  • Allows you to control the environment in your greenhouse even when you're not there
  • Adjustable temperature range

"After reading other reviews, I was prepared for a construction nightmare, but good planning and common sense made building the greenhouse straightforward. Using the correct polycarbonate silicone is important, I used it during building, and in all the glazing joints afterwards. Yes the polycarbonate will flex in the wind..... Its 4mm polycarbonate...! But my greenhouse is rock solid. Winter storms might change that, but replacing sheets will be easy. Of course, 35years experience in construction helped my project, but this greenhouse is good quality, and I'm very happy with it."

"Once it was put together it does the job well but what a pain to assemble! Instead of the proposed 300 hours it took days with 2 of us trying to figure out what the diagram & bare instructions meant, only to find (like many others) that we had to undo bits in order to proceed with the next stage! Luckily my husband was very patient because I may have given up if it were up to me!"

"The instructions for this product are terrible and need some serious revision. On a number of occasions I had to reverse what I had done in order to assemble the next part. The item does not fit on the base that was supplied but does seem stable enough and the product does look good. Definitely not a one man job."

"Once built I like the item but the building is complicated and the instructions often mean you have to back track to add in bolts if you are not careful."

"Instruction say 5 hrs to erect you should add 1 day to that.following the instructions is difficult but the worst thing is that you get a section together and then have to take it apart as a later part of the instructions tells you to add further bolts, very frustrating when you,ve done it a few times. Difficult to squar the green house"
