2m Leyland Cypress Hedging 20-30cm 'Cupressus leylandii' - 9cm Pot

Green Leylandii, or Leyland Cypress, is the quickest growing conifer available in the UK and can grow up to 90cm a year! This is the perfect choice for those who want to grow a dense, evergreen hedge as quickly as possible. Green Leylandii makes an excellent screening hedge and is a popular choice for garden privacy. It is dense enough to provide a complete visual screen and can even block out noise and pollution. Green Leylandii is very easy to grow and requires more regular trimming than other evergreen hedges.

Caring and Maintenance

After planting it is important to ensure that your Green Leylandii is well watered but not soggy or waterlogged to help ensure root establishment. New Leylandiis are likely to need soaking once or twice a week but this can be more often during hot weather.

You can trim your leylandii tree immediately after planting by trimming any shoots or branches that break the shape of the hedge. This encourages new growth to ensure Green Leylandii grows as thickly as possible and should be done twice a year. Once the hedge is established and mature the hedge should be trimmed up to three times during the growing season (April – August).
