Limestone Diana Bust Statue H53cm
Diana, or Artemis, is the virgin huntress of classical mythology - sacred to all things natural and wild, protector of women in labour and newborn children. She was a proud and beautiful goddess and a formidable warrior. She assisted in the birth of Apollo, her twin brother, and the bond between them was very strong. Created here in the style of Phidias, the 5th century BC Greek sculptor. These statues are made using cast limestone with a surface texture similar to that of portland stone. In a number of important ways it is markedly superior, one of its greatest advantages being price, which, piece for piece, is normally significantly less than that of quarried stone. As well as for use in gardens, lawn, terraces, courtyards, borders and woodland, this statue can also be used in interior design schemes, in a hall, library, stairway or reception room.
