Tall spires of colourful, pea-like flowerheads.

Lupins are considered a core part of cottage style gardens with their tall spires of colourful, pea-like flowerheads. This hardy variety displays spikes of fragrant, yellow flowers atop palmately lobed leaves. It is ideal for the back of a border where it stands out the most. It also makes a perfect cut flower for a perennial arrangement.

Fresh from the Nursery, our perennials and alpines are despatched directly from expert growers, based within Southern England. There is no sitting around in garden centers or fulfillment centres, so you rest assured that your plant will arrive fresh, healthy and in perfect condition.

How Your Order Will Arrive

About your plant - Our reliable nurseries have a real passion for plants. Their extensive range and reputation are key to the foundations of the business. Our expert nursery has spent decades perfecting the art of watering, feeding, and pruning perennials, and will do so until hours before they are packed.

Packaging- Please note that perennials die back to soil level in winter. If ordered during the colder months they might not experience the best growth. However, provided they are cared for accordingly they will grow back in the spring. Your perennials will be expertly packaged into a specially designed, extra thick cardboard box, which will hold it securely in place. Your plant will then be delivered via a delicate courier network to prevent any chance of damage in transit.

Lupins are relatively simple to look after. They prefer a sheltered position to grow in with access to full sunshine. They do well in moist, well-drained soil. Be aware that young plants are vulnerable to pests. Keep slugs and snails away with copper tape or wildlife-friendly pellets. Staking during the summer is recommended to prevent them from flopping. Ensure to deadhead spent flowers as this will encourage more blooms.

Please note: Herbaceous perennials can die back in winter, so don't be alarmed if this happens and instead look forward to spring!
