Product information

This is our "top end" model - very hard wearing, with a thick heavy duty 500g PVC canopy and 380gsm PVC sides. A fantastic durable marquee ideal for home use and for commercial use - these marquees are so well made that they can be used time and time again. Easy to assemble; great for weddings, parties, shows, exhibitions, storage and as a car shelter. Ideal for frequent use / hiring out as well as for bigger budget private parties.

Our Luxury marquees are made from waterproof, UV stabilised, fire-rated (BS5438 / BS7837) Polyester / PVC. The canopy has weight 500gsm and the walls have weight 380gsm. The fabric is a much more luxurious material than the polyethylene used in the Standard marquees. The material is specially coated on the inside making it much more water resistant than the polyethylene.

What's the difference between the Standard marquees and the Luxury marquees?

The frames are the same for both marquees (6m wide marquees have extra roof supports - this is not needed for smaller marquees). The only difference is the thickness / quality of the material - the Luxury marquees use a luxurious thick 500gsm polyethylene / PVC composite (380g on the walls) which looks fantastic and is really durable.

The Luxury marquees are the correct choice if looks matter and / or if you are going to be using the marquee over and over again. The Standard marquees are more for 'one-offs' or occasional use.

The Luxury marquees are also extremely water tight, guaranteed not to leak. They have a greater 'water column' than the Standard marquees (the water column is a measure of the ability for water to 'sit' on the canopy without dripping through). After time, the Standard marquees may give rise to the odd 'drip' through the seams in heavy rain.

Our Luxury marquees have a manufacturers guarantee of 3 years. Our Standard marquees have a manufacturers guarantee of 2 years.

Easily extended

Our marquees essentially consist of 2m bays. As a result they are really easy to extend. If you find your marquee isn't quite big enough, you can buy an extension kit to extend the length to another of our standard sizes at a later date. Contact our customer services if you wish to do this.

Which fixings do I need?

Grass

If you are putting your marquee on grass, as a minimum you need a set of four corner ropes with pegs. We also recommend (particularly on marquees of 6m width, but also on smaller models) our tie down kit consisting of tensioned straps and heavy duty tent pegs. These straps should be put along the sides of the marquee, at intervals of 2m.

You can also purchase the ground bar kit to give extra rigidity to the bottom of marquee.

Concrete

The marquee can free stand on concrete as long as you purchase a ground bar kit to give a rigid frame throughout.

If possible, use ropes at the corners to secure the marquee as well.

"I am busy testing the marquee tent and I must say that I am not sorry to have spent more on the luxury version. The luxury version looks strong, durable and stunning. I am busy testing if I could perhaps leave it permanently up as it just fits in my garden which is also walled up with a fence and trees breaking down the wind but as a security measure I am adding heavy duty straps in case of the strong winds and if you don't have any than get the "tie down kit" that primrose sells separately."
