A centrepiece for your pond!

Waterlilies are potentially the most sought after pond plant out there, instantly recognisable by their bowl shaped flowers and plate like leaves, that always appear to float on the surface of the water. Great for not only improving pond heath but also assisting wildlife in your garden. A ruffle of sherbert yellow cup shaped petals, a crown enclosing a brighter yellow centre, with an abudance of dark green round floating leaves which have a purple marble wash on them. A real showstopper for your pond!

Waterlilies enjoy a sunny spot in a still pond, away from running water. They dislike being overcrowded so make sure they have enough space to accommodate the waterlilies at their full size. Deadhead the flowers once they fade, if you can do so safely. Waterlilies do not generally suffer from disease if cared for properly but it can be victim to several different pests but they are unlikely to cause long term damage. Avoid using pesticides on aquatic plants as this can harm the biodiversity of your pond. Instead, hose off leaves, remove pests by hand if safe and cut off any infested leaves.
