Caring and Maintenance: If not kept under control bamboo can become invasive, especially those that spread through rhizomes (roots underground). A physical barrier is useful to stop the growth of these plants - building a substantial barrier around the bamboo roots underground is the easiest way to control them. Simply cut back the roots which try to overcome the barrier above ground! Remove spent stems and thin to show off stems to best effect.
