Mulberry Trees

Favourite food of the silkworm, mulberry trees are famous for being circulated in a nursery rhyme, catkin flowers and their long, blackberry-like (white in some species) fruits. Its pollen is launched at half the speed of sound, so this tree might not be best if you've any hayfever sufferers in your family, for there will be no escape. It can take a few years for fruit to appear, but it'll still serve as a pretty, ornamental tree until that colourful harvest arrives.
