Prunus Tai haku 'Great White Cherry'

Meaning big white flowers, Tai-haku lives up to its name with some of the largest flowers of any cultivar.

Well known from historical records, the tree features in many artworks.

The cultivar was thought to be lost until it was by chance discovered in a Sussex garden by none other than Collingwood Ingram, an early authority on cherries.

Distinctive for its flat top, the tree is notably wider than it is tall.
