Red Windsor Apple Trees

Often compared to Cox in taste, Red Windsor possesses the same robust flavour and aromatic qualities, although is a tad sharper. Originating as a sport of Alkmene - itself a descendent of Cox - Red Windsor was propagated by the Max Planck Society - an institution with 33 Nobel Prizes. Easy to grow with unmatched resistance to disease and some resistance to frost, this cultivar is great for starting out and its bumper crops can be harvested over several weeks, avoiding the need to deal with a glut.
