‘Rhapsody in Blue’ is a bushy, free-flowering, floribunda rose. This shrub rose provides colour and scent non-stop from June to September with its tight clusters of purplish-blue, semi-double, scented flowers with rich, golden-yellow centres surrounded by pale green foliage.
More resistant to disease than many other ‘blue’ roses, this hardy shrub is happy in any aspect, except north facing, planted in the full sun in moist, well-drained soil. It is a great variety for using in rose and mixed borders.
‘Rhapsody in Blue’ has been awarded the Award of Garden Merit given by the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS), which helps gardeners make informed choices about plants.
These roses are in a dormant state ready for immediate planting. The roots have been dipped in a water retaining gel and are enclosed in a plastic bag to keep them moist. The shoots have been cut back to prevent your rose plant rocking in the wind after planting. A further pruning will be required in early spring. Each plant comes with full planting and care instructions.
