Walnut Trees

Walnut trees are tall specimens that will gift you with their large crops of flavourful nuts, which can be picked from midsummer to early autumn. Although the English walnut is less of a problem, walnut trees produce juglone - a chemical that can lead to plant death in nearby plants, such as tomatoes and apples. As such, it is best to keep this in mind when choosing your planting site.
