This fantastic bird feeder is great for providing a wide range of food for the birds in your garden. Offering a variety of foods (like fruit and bacon) can help to encourage more unusual species into your garden such as thrushes and migratory waxwings. Providing a constant source of food for birds is a great way to support British wildlife while recycling food that might else go to waste.

Charming Design
This gorgeous bird feeder has been designed to look like a miniature wooden house and is perfect for adding a touch of character to your garden. With a steel skewer which is threaded through the frame this feeder cleverly elevates the food so the birds have full access to it. The uppermost roof of the house helps keep the fruit dry in the rain while the extended shelf below gives the birds a sturdy perch on which to sit while they dig in.

What can I put in my bird feeder?

This bird feeder can be used with many different kinds of food. Suet balls, which provide much needed fat and energy, are great for the winter while boiled unsalted potatoes are a great treat. Small pieces of cheese and unsalted raw bacon are also great for birds.

These bird feeders are also perfect for a variety of fruits such as apples, pears and bananas. Fruit is very nutritious because it has a high water content and is rich in energy. Feeding fruit to birds is also a great way to get rid of bruised or overripe fruit which you might otherwise throw away. We advise that you check your bird feeders every day to make sure that the food has not spoiled.

Don't forget to provide water!
To create a real haven for wildlife in your garden, it is important to also provide birds with a source of clean, fresh water. Birds need to have access to water all year round to ensure they have a space where they can drink and bathe without fear of predators. Most small birds, especially seed eaters, need to drink at least twice a day so they can stay healthy and hydrated. However it is also important that birds have a place to bathe so they can keep their feathers in good condition. To see our range of both solar and traditional birdbaths, see the link below.
