Overview

This very hardy bamboo is quite modestly sized (with an eventual height of around 3m), so is ideal for smaller gardens or large pots. It has slender, upright to arching canes, which are clothed in attractive green leaves throughout the year. Eventually forming dense clumps, the new canes emerge a bright green, which contrast well with the culm sheaths, creating a distinctive two-tone effect until the sheaths drop away.

Care guide

Do not allow to dry out while the plant is getting established. This is a clump-forming bamboo, but if you want to restrict the plant's spread, plant it in a large container, or surround the roots with a non-perishable barrier.

How your order will arrive

Pots and Packaging
Larger pots (2L and above) are wrapped in waxed paper and then attached to a cardboard base so they stay stable in the box. The waxed paper prevents the compost from spilling out and gives the base some added protection from damp compost. For large numbers of plants, pallets may be used for shipping.

Preparation
The nursery will ensure the plant is moist while it's waiting to be picked up. Our quality control team waters the plant before packing them where necessary to make sure that the plant is suitably watered for transport. Plants with long delicate stems are secured with canes to prevent damage.
