How do I choose an awning?
Before you choose your awning, think about how you would like it to be used. For example, if you plan to use your awning throughout the summer to protect you from the sun, an awning with a large shade will be the best choice for you. If you would like to be able to use your awning throughout the autumn and winter months, make sure that you opt for an awning with a waterproof fabric.

How do I measure my awning for my house?
Our range of awnings includes options for every outside space. With over 700 awnings to choose from, there are many different widths and projections available.
We recommend leaving between 2.5m – 3.5m between the ground at the height of the awning. If you would like your awning to be installed lower than this, remember to check that there is sufficient headroom to walk underneath the awning. It’s also a good idea to make sure that any windows and doors can open.
The vertical size of the fixing bracket is about 7 inches (approx. 20cm). If space is tight you may wish to check that you have 7 clear inches before ordering. Our standard awnings can also be fitted to eaves or a horizontal surface using a ceiling/balcony bracket.
How much wider than a door should my awning be?
It’s a good idea to leave at least 8 inches between the width of the awning and the door, to ensure that your door can open outwards. Once you have chosen your awning, our handy awning installation guide will help take the guesswork out of how to install it.
What size should my awning be?
For most standard outside spaces, it’s recommended that you choose an awning with a width the same as your patio. However, if you would like to leave some of your patio in full sun and unprotected from your awning, simply choose one which is slightly smaller in width.
How far does the awning open/extend?
