Overview

A deciduous fern with a yellow-gold variegated ribbon running through each frond. A fantastic grass-green coloured evergreen fern, with a yellow-gold variegated 'ribbon' running through each of the fronds. Plant them as a bold group, or use them as a contrast to other low-growing foliage plants such as Heucheras and other ferns.

Care guide

Incorporate lots of well-rotted leaf mould or garden compost into the planting hole. Overwinter potted plants in an unheated greenhouse, or provide a deep, insulating mulch around their base to protect them from the cold. In late winter, cut back the old and tatty-looking fronds to allow new growth to emerge.

Pots and Packaging
Our 9cm pots are given extra packaging to protect the plant. This extra packaging consists of a recyclable plastic blister pack which is then placed in a cardboard box for delivery.

Preparation
The nursery will ensure the plant is moist while it's waiting to be picked up. Our quality control team waters the plant before packing them where necessary to make sure that the plant is suitably watered for transport. Plants with long delicate stems are secured with canes to prevent damage.

Typically plants are delivered ready to plant and will take some time to settle, grow and look more like the product image above.
