Overview

A silvery-grey foliage, semi-evergreen herbaceous perennial. Named after the notable plantswoman and garden designer, this 'white sageis highly valued for its new, argent young shoots, A clump-forming herbaceous perennial with lance-shaped, woolly-white leaves with jagged margins are aromatic when bruised. Tiny, mimosa-like white flowers tower from the semi-'evergreenfoliage but we recommend removing them and enjoying the plant for what it is - a magnificent and drought tolerant (once established), ground-covering foil for pastel pinks, yellows, or other Mediterranean, cottage, and herb-themed flowering plants.

Care guide

Ensure good drainage when planting as the plant can die back in heavy, poorly-drained soil. Give it space to spread out. Cut back stems to ground level in autumn and apply a generous mulch of well-rotted garden compost or manure around the base of the plant. Divide large clumps in early spring.

Pots and Packaging
Our 9cm pots are given extra packaging to protect the plant. This extra packaging consists of a recyclable plastic blister pack which is then placed in a cardboard box for delivery.

Preparation
The nursery will ensure the plant is moist while it's waiting to be picked up. Our quality control team waters the plant before packing them where necessary to make sure that the plant is suitably watered for transport. Plants with long delicate stems are secured with canes to prevent damage.
