Overview

A graceful, evergreen perennial, with arching stems of bell-shaped, pale pink to magenta or occasionally white flowers which seem to dangle above the clumps of grass-like foliage. The stems look delicate, but are actually very tough and appear to tremble in the breeze. Angel's fishing rod is perfect for introducing movement to a well-drained border in a sunny, sheltered site, or for overhanging water. Initially slow to establish, it looks particularly good with early autumn-flowering ornamental grasses. Unfortunately though, as it is quite deep rooted, it is not suitable for pots.

Care guide

Water freely during the growing season, but avoid excessive wet or waterlogged ground conditions during the winter. Cut away old foliage in early spring and if necessary lift and divide congested colonies at the same time.

How your order will arrive

Pots and Packaging
Larger pots (2L and above) are wrapped in waxed paper and then attached to a cardboard base so they stay stable in the box. The waxed paper prevents the compost from spilling out and gives the base some added protection from damp compost. For large numbers of plants, pallets may be used for shipping.

Preparation
The nursery will ensure the plant is moist while it's waiting to be picked up. Our quality control team waters the plant before packing them where necessary to make sure that the plant is suitably watered for transport. Plants with long delicate stems are secured with canes to prevent damage.

Typically plants are delivered ready to plant and will take some time to settle, grow and look more like the product image above.
